Sandra has carried a license in cosmetology since 2011 but her passion for beautiful, healthy black hair has been with her since childhood as she would style hair for friends and family members. In middle school, she took one home economics course and fell in love with the sewing machine. Unfortuantely, she did not get a personal sewing machine at home to practive her craft until early adulthood in her 20's.
"Sandra’s Bonnets" came about one night after she completed the construction of a a wig. She decided that she was not ready to put the sewing machine away but also would not spend more money on purchasing bundled hair weave. This is when she pulled out her scrap fabric and started curating custom satin lined hair bonnets for her friends and family.
With high quality materials and attention to style, Sandra’s Bonnets has a goal to provide a luxury yet highly functional product to the black beauty market evidenced with customers who have been wearing the same bonnets for years.
Each bonnet is curated and hand sewn by Sandra, herself. She wants you to know that your item comes with a whole lot of love. ❤
